The Library Building Project: Our Journey

This web page documents the long and successful journey of our library building project. The library could not have implemented its plans for a new community library without the dedication, creativity and respect for our vision demonstrated by the design team at King & King Architects, our contractors from Hueber Breuer, and our partners at Community Bank in DeWitt. I’d also like to acknowledge the many other people in the community who supported the project - our taxpayers, those who contributed to the capital campaign and others who gave selflessly of their time and expertise. We should all be proud that the new library is not only sustainable, innovative, and patron-centered, but was completed on time and under budget thanks to the efforts of our partners and advocates.

We are already seeing how the space is transforming the lives of people in our community and are thrilled that this new Community Library of DeWitt & Jamesville is fulfilling our vision to serve as an anchor in the Town that connects and empowers people, inspires ideas and supports community potential.
