The Community Library of DeWitt & Jamesville appreciates your donations of new or gently used materials. While items may be added to the collection if they satisfy our Collection Development Policy criteria, most donations are sorted and placed in the Library’s Book Sale to support Library services and programs. Please view our Materials Donation Policy for details on what can be donated and how to donate items. Please view the Donation Policy Visual Guide for a quick introduction to the condition and types of books we can accept.
Your donation to the Library is Tax-Deductible. The Library is classified as a 501c (3) Non- Profit organization and charitable giving to the Library can be deducted from your taxes. When you make a monetary donation to us, keep a record for completing your taxes. If you need a receipt for your records please let us know and we would be happy to provide one.
Upon request, the Library will provide you with an Item Donation Form detailing your material donations. Due to Internal Revenue Service regulations, the Library is prohibited from estimating the value of donation items.
